DESCRIPTION: APW – Elgin, Grade 86, Convertible model, 15J, 16S, heavy 14K multicolor gold false box hinge Wood & Son, Boston HC with majestic stag on rear, initialed shield on front, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#1395594. Gross weight of assembled watch 85.5 dwt (132.9 g). CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, small spot above "Elgin" and some additional scattered very small spots, few specks of oxide on steelwork; dial has blue colored hl through center and a tiny edge chip under bezel between 1 and 2; fine hands are dulled in color; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail, front hinge is missing both end caps, front lift spring is not making contact with lid through final portion of opening range but hinge is tight so the fully opened lid will hold its 90 degree position; tight bow, crown shows light wear with ridge break; good glass crystal.
